Jon Bilbao García has obtained a Chemistry degree at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) which his final Project was focused on the synthesis of chemical molecules, applying different experimental techniques such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) in Organic Chemistry department at the UPV/EHU. After that, he did a Master degree in Forensic (UPV/EHU) in which he focused the attention on metabolomics data in the Analytical Chemistry department of University of the Basque Country. Next, he did a second Master Degree in Pharmacology (UPV/EHU) in which he studied the effect of Parkinson disease on the electron mitocondrial chain through the membrane microarrays and membrane homogenates at IMG Pharma company. Then, he did a intership in Metabolomics Platform at the Biocruces Health Research Institute in which he became more familiar with rare metabolic diseases and he deepened into the methodology of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. Nowadays, he is doing a PhD at Center for Cooperative Research in Biosciences CIC Biogune in the treatment of fluxomics and phosphoromics data.
